Florian & Grim

In a Cotswolds village during the rise of Shakespeare and the reign of Elizabeth I, Florian Hayes, a cunning merchant, and Grimelda Ashby, a gifted artist, are forced into an arranged marriage. Fiercely independent Grimelda doesn't want to be married to anyone, and Florian has already promised himself to his childhood sweetheart, Helaena. They agree to fake the marriage until their fathers pass away and they inherit their fortunes and independence, at which point they will get the marriage annulled. Florian will be free to marry Helaena, and Grimelda will be a free woman of property and fortune, beholden to no one.

But the tides turn when Helaena's father and brother are murdered on Florian and Grimelda's second night as a "married" couple. And when Florian and Grimelda return from the crime scene, they find that Grimelda’s dowry has been stolen. To get back her fortune and her shot at a life of independence, Grimelda must team up with the man she doesn't want to be with and help the woman he's already in love with. As the bodies begin to stack up and the web of conspiracy stretches beyond the town limits, Grimelda and Florian begin to question who exactly in the community they can trust, and if their arranged marriage isn’t so unwanted after all.
